ECTA GAS - Brand, Octane, Types & Time Availability

I posted the below paragraph on the ECTA-LSR Yahoo group homepage(http://tinyurl.com/34epju).
It should give all the necessary info for everyone to match up and compare their needs as necessary.

It reads as follows:

All ECTA supplied fuel is Sunoco brand and will be there on fridays.
These below products purchased on-site comply with gas classes.
The unleaded octanes are 100(260GT) & 104(260GT Plus)

The leaded octanes are 110(The Standard) & 116(Maximal).

Remember there are leaded & unleaded as well as oxygenated & non-oxygenated choices for your vehicle's consumption. So pick appropriately(talk to your engine builder or tuner and fellow racers), not just by octane level.

I have no experince with high octaine fuel. I use 93 octaine pump gas to do all my testing and tuning. I will be runing in the GAS class. And intend to use the 100 unleaded. I know you don't have time to explain  chemestry a week from the event. but Is there any advantage to running high octaine fuel when I don't have detonation with the 93? Thanks

No and it could even be a disadvantage and I won't go into the chemistry since I don't know it  :cry:.  Your results as a result of my post may vary, so please consult those that do know the chemistry  8-) .

Depending on the fuel weight and BTUs available you may need to do a little tuning.  Not a Chemistry guy either, but been there, done that....
