Has anyone heard the rumor that the Fossett team will be doing low speed parachute testing either today or tomorrow at El Mirage?

They showed up but I don't think they ever got the car started.  I went out to the lakebed after work and hung out for a few when they were going to do some low speed fam runs for the driver.

No permits?  I think someone needs a better bird.  There are a total of 7 permits and 4 insurance forms to move the team interstate, all of which were in hand on Sunday.  The hold up was for a trailer inspection that Cal Trans decided we needed on Monday after we had already gotten a permit without one the first time.

More later.

LOL, the inspector was polite, professional and on time.  He even re-arranged his schedule for the week just to fit us in.  If we had known about the need in advance, it would have been a non-issue.
