I don't think there is enough good salt for that many miles.

Why not? Denis has been able to get 12 miles a few years ago and 11 miles I think last year.

You just havent seen 12 miles because they meets you run dont permit using more then 5 miles. When using international course you are already in the bonus side of more usable miles :) :)

Build a bike and come to bub's :) :)

How is the car coming, hopefully see it at speedweek, lots of great work there for me to admire :) :)

Last year was only 9 miles. 2006 had 11. I don't remember any of the Bub meets ever being 12. Hopefully someday we'll get to see a 12 mile course with good, hard salt. If we do, I'm sure a lot of big records will fall...

If it would be up to me, I would elimate the 5% rule. Most records are from the 1970's. If you can compete with that with todays technology, by going over the record, then people should review their operation, unless they are there for fun.

Over the record or get back in line.

" if you can't compete with todays tech, by going over the record, the people should review their operation"

Not always..............example:
1973 CAN-AM 125c.c. APS-AF record 136.537.....

Many have tried.......many have failed, todate.........
