So I think the lesson here is, CHECK with the makers of your particular EFI system to see how they handle barometric corrections. If it's a closed system, strictly using the Ideal Gas Law for corrections, then you should put the temp sensor downstream of any compressors, coolers, etc.
Don't get me started on how the Ideal Gas Law idea does NOT work with open loop realtime baro corrections. We spent weeks figuring that out. As it turns out (dave certainly knows this), Volumetric Efficiency changes with increases or decreases in exhaust backpressure. GM has a white paper on this.
