Eric's bike is a roller   I'm having trouble deciding on a tank   Eric came down from LA and spent a couple of days and he likes the orange tank  I don't like any of them  but the orange tank is fiberglass and I will have to make one out of metal  The other two tanks  one is an early sportster tank   the other one is a duece tank that's been narrowed 4 inches  Anyway here's the pics

I think Eric has a good eye!
I haven't seen alot of your work, but what I have seen so far seems to be very well thought out and executed. It is exceptional for you to share this with all of us... a true heart for this sport and industry both!
Thanks for helping remind us all that it's not about the ability to fabricate, but moreso about the inability to try. There's many on here with the ability to do, there's many less on here with the willingness to share by laying it all out on the table(physically and figuratively both).
Nice stuff
Todd

Kent, being a Twin Cam(2 piece rather then 3pc like an evo) it needs virtually no clearance to get the rocker cover off.

I'm with Eric and Todd.  I like the orange tank because of the curves.

I like the profile, placement & streamline of the orange one. The other two are too bulky in each direction. When you remake it in metal can you make a twin & send it to Todd so I can have my street bike tank back?  :-D

Car guy here but shouldn't the tank and seat be chosen at the same time.

Love your handy work and on line presentation! I like the Harley shaped one. :-D

Eric came up from LA. We spent a couple of days and we couldn't find a gas tank that Eric liked so we decided to make one. So while he was here we spent a couple of days of banging and hammering and cutting and shaping and putting bandaids on our fingers. And this is the result...
Two tank halves tacked together. It's not perfect and it still needs some work but you get the idea.

Eric came up for a couple of days. We worked on his bike. We decided that the tank was too thick so we cut an inch out of it and we finished up the swingarm. We mounted the shocks and got the bike up on the rear wheel and checked out the rear suspension to make sure it was going to work. Cause when we ordered the coil overs we kinda guessed on the spring rate. As it turns out we were right on the money(by some miracle). Anyway we got all that done. The engine is coming together. We are having some problems with a belt drive turbo charger but we are getting that sorted out.The problems with the turbo chargers that we found so far are that they are built for street applications, which means that they are usually too small. Anyway, that's another story.
We are going to have the bike at speedweek. Hopefully running. Here's some pics.
