Production Supercharged Question...
« on: January 25, 2008, 12:41:43 PM »
We don't have a rule book yet, so I'm asking this question on behalf of a teammate.

I assume the term 'supercharged' also covers turbos. Now, does Production Supercharged lump cars and trucks together??

Thanks,

Joey

The rule has been clarified for production this year. Generally is say's if it came with a supercharger you need to run a supercharger. If it had a turbo or 2 that's what you need to comply with.

No....what I'm asking is "does the rule book put s/c trucks and cars together?"

For instance....car 1 has a 3L turbo'd engine and truck 1 has the same 3L turbo'd engine. Are they in the same class?

Now, car 1 has a 5L S/C engine and truck 1 has a 5L turbo'd engine. Are they in the same class?

So there is a production supercharged pickup class, which includes production turbocharged pickups, correct?

My understanding is any "supercharged" production truck, either mini or std. will run in the modified class.
