From the lakester selling on eBay today:

Quote
On Jan-09-08 at 18:23:52 PST, seller added the following information:
The gentelman who bought the engine that was in this car has decided to run in the NASCAR class at Bonneville. He no longer has need of the motor and has asked me to say that he will make it available to whoever is the winning bidder or anyone else interested in it. Contact me if you would like to get in touch with him.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice.  But in practice, there is.--Jan L. A. Van de Snepscheut

Thanks for your input MM , I've reread the altered coupe 5.D.2 rules , and all I need to fit in that class is door seams and a pink slip from the monty I salvaged the panels from. Any further advice is welcome.

So, I gather that your car is not a cast off cup car. In that case you have an excellent chance to fall into an existing class.
