Banner ads - not work place friendly
« on: January 08, 2008, 12:05:10 PM »
I know this site costs money to keep up, and I know I'm behind in making donations . . . but I was visiting one of the pages and the banner ad (which I enjoyed) could cause problems for other viewers if they happened to have the page up at work and a more conservative viewer were to shoulder surf . . .

I'm lucky enough to work somewhere where we sign a release that we won't take offense at seeing porn, but just want to raise the issue before it burns anyone.  And of course the image really wasn't porn, but you had to look pretty close to see that she had a thong on . . .

I've seen the ad -- and I have to say that I didn't pay attention to the firm that placed the ad.  I, too, was sorta looking at the girl -- before I came to my senses and clicked back to the forum.

Why did you say that banner ads cannot work place friendly? I must say that this could be possible if there is s problem about the source of that banner. Just a thought...
