6 more pages of progress..................
« on: December 31, 2007, 11:12:58 PM »

............... you paying attention Kent??

I've added 6 more pages of construction since my last update on here.  Phil who runs the 2727 coupe out of Colo. has come over for a total of 4 days in that time and has helped me a lot.

Pretty soon I'm going to run out of things to do and I'm going to have to wire and plumb the motor.  You ready to come over Stainless?

The new pages start here:

http://purplesagetradingpost.com/sumner/bvillecar-2/construction%20page-79.html

and end here:

http://purplesagetradingpost.com/sumner/bvillecar-2/construction%20page-84.html

Happy 1st everyone....it is a good one for me,

Sum

I sure hope that it runs at least once this year.  Kent said he wouldn't come help with the body until the snow is off the mountain behind town and the ice is off Lake Powell so we can catch some lobsters ,

Good to see the progress Sum. Having someone who knows what they're doing with the tig will get you fully up to speed in no time.

The car's looking great!

Wow -

Your attention to detail on this car is astounding.  Thanks for taking the time to photograph and write about it, and then share it with us.

Sum,

It must be time for me to stay in the barn a little longer each day!

Looking good Sum! Looks like you found some very good help. :-D

I'd better get that care package of wire ready to send. Tell me what you need.

Sum,
Your progress is looking good! Send me some of your car dimensions and I will try to draw up a couple of ideas for the body. I know that you really want to do something like Seth's old car with side pod so I probably can at least give some idea of what it may look like.

Great work Sum'
never thought it would take this long huh?. Also , congratulations on the "Book of Lakester according to Sum"........you deserve to go well .

I'm thinkin' you'd be hard pressed to go past " The Lake Powell Lobster " as a name ..........rolls off the tongue nicely , imagine at the start line "next we have Sumner Patterson's Lake Powell Lobster Lakester runnin' in Thousand Island dressing class", could make for some great livery too......

I once had a side act that was known amongst those involved as the "Brown Trout Decoy Blues Band"....that was another thing altogether....

Sumner, looking good. You have been very busy lately. Looks at lot different than it did when I saw it in October. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the encouragement guys.

Rex the body is pretty much going to skin what is there and no more.  I'll try and get some sketches other than those in my head up at some point.

Doc I'm still laughing about the new name and special class that I'll be running in.  Sorry Stainless you guys won't be allowed in the Thousand Island class .  My mom always asked how work was coming on the "bullet car" so in her memory it was named the Salt Bullet. Doc I never got that CD of your music you promised.  Did it get sent to China for mass production or something??

Kent my goal every morning is to try and get something done to keep you off my ass  :-P .

c ya,

Sum

Don't worry about Kent getting on your ass. By the time he leaves San Diego and makes it the caves of Utah he will forget why he left the sandy beach's of California. However if he brings Dolan along you will be on your on to defend yourself because the gang up and cheat, don't seem fair but then again they are bikers. :-o

And I was just trying to figure out how to change the car to get in the Thousand Island class...  :-D

The fresh water lobster in Powell are probably smaller than the ones in the lakes, and ditches in LA, no not Los Angles, Louisiana... when I lived down there we called them Mudbugs, in Wichita we call them bait...
