A Christmas gift for someone who has everything
« on: December 12, 2007, 12:13:20 PM »
This year I got my pop this:
It is a cell phone jammer, when the thing is on anyone 40 meters will not be having a conversation.

http://www.spymodex.com/jammer002.htm

I had to order it from England because they are not exactly "legal", and if used for the wrong reasons should be (you could say this about many things).

We tried it out last night on ourselves and it works great....it will not drop the call but you will be talking to air, once its turned off the call can resume. One of things that pisses my pop off is drivers on the phone not paying attention and driving all over the road. Now if he sees someone doing this.....he has the option to remove the distraction.

Don’t know if it is worth the money....but he seems to really like it.

Great Idea, JH.  If you don't mind me asking -- how much did it cost (iincluding VAT and shipping)?  I think I could enjoy having one of those. . .

If nothing else -- will we be able to see it when we're in Portland in a couple of months?

I opted to get the car charger and the XT6K (more output) with air from England was something on the 360$ range.

You bet you can see it and if we can see anyone on a phone.......

LOL!

Yeah, I think I remember that, now that you mention it.  That'll be important if and when Farndon ever gets around to shipping that billet crank I ordered from them more than 13 months ago.  13 FRICKIN' MONTHS!  They could have carved it using a fingernail file and polishing compound by now, I'd think.

The 12R, Kent.  Having torched a pair of welded-up cranks over the past few years, and having money burning a hole in my pocket, it was decided to go for the billet piece.  There are other reasons, too, but don't push too hard -- I'm not sure I can justify it all that well.

One good thing -- Nancy knows all about it and the cost, so you can't hold that over my head.

Speaking of nothing, we're getting a ZX14R.  Will your generic Charlie Toy body work on 'em?  Got anything else that I should try instead?
