Todd,, wow cool car... how fast does it run?
About as fast as you can push it at the moment Charles
. My dad's been building it for about 2 years or so now and is a basic crate small block(probably no more then 300hp?). He's 76yrs old this year and still does every bit himself(this sure ain't his first block & tackle and come-along frame off doing it all on his own in his garage with handtools job - he did get some help from a friend with the paint on this one though), unless I stop down every few months to visit and set him back a few days that is - lol.
Here's a slide show that is in no particular order(mostly backwards actually), up till just before christmas. I have some later pics(he sends them on a regular basis) of where he's at now(glass in, wiper system he added, tilt steering column adapted, bucket seat mounts, etc, etc - you know the gig, like I say it's going to be a daily driver) and will update that folder next chance I get.
http://s122.photobucket.com/albums/o244/narider/1935%20Ford/?albumview=slideshowHoping(me as much as him I'm pretty sure) to have it on the road this year and drive it out to Maxton... would really like to see that happen for sure(he comes out to watch Deb and I run at least a couple times a year, was there when I got in the 2club and I hope he will be there when Deb does too)... my biggest wish is for the car to be deemed safe enough for him to make a pass down the mile(don't know or care if it'll go 100mph to tell the truth, but just to make a pass would be the best for me to see). Dad was racing with Arfons and others in the early 50's in Akron and never let me or my brbother get away with buying something we could make, so just to see him still spinning a wrench on a daily basis is more then I could ever wish for and he'll always be my biggest hero in the world of automotive nuts(and bolts).
Wow is that Roadster of yours gorgeous! Looking forward to showing my dad your '33 though, he'll love that and hope to see more pics get added of it I'm sure.
Thanks for sharing it Charles,
Todd
