Way to go SDRC, Moreland and Noonan!
We were about 8 cars back on Saturday when the 372 Car had a violent spin went airborne at the finish line and took out the right side of the course. Someone described it as a "spin and sway meet" - "car parts all over the place. Driver OK but car had suspension and wheel damage. This is second hand info.
The line steward warned all the drives to stay to the left, or left center. I was the next car to run when the Sundowner Corvette spun on the left side. After it was cleared, Jim Jensen came up to cinch the belts and said that now the right side was better than the left. Well that left only the center that had been hard on all day. Well so much for having a high starting#. Hit a soft spot about 2/3rd's down and had to lift.
How can you have so much FUN and FRUSTRATION all at the same time? That's El Mirage!
Hey Summer, it was nice talking to you again!
