Got one round in Sat.  Lot of wind Sunday.  Called the meet around 10:30 or so.
Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

As was stated one round on Saturday due to a having to move the course over. There was a bad spin that may have tore the course up pretty good. I think there is video of it on the Scta website. Sunday there was an issue with the ambulance and once that was taken care of the wind picked up and the meet was cancelled.

Bob Moreland won the overall points championship by putting 30+ mph on the existing record amd John Noonan was the number one bike by putting 25 mph on the existing sidecar record. Congrats to all for a great year and thanks to all of you that have helped me this year and welcomed me to the SDRC!

493 H      BGRMR   Moreland Noonan Lux SDRC Bob Moreland 174.588 141.428

I thought visibility was a pretty lame excuse for calling the meet!!
Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

It would appear to me the dust was substantially aided by the SDRC line dance.
I still have some tickets left for the shuttle that Fritz runs to Huntington Beach from The Lake at El Mirage..
They are good for 11-11-07 only.
I have a whole book for sale cheap. :-D

MONDAY AM UPDATE : I sold the book to Keenan.
Thanks to everybody that asked.

How many day's till next season?

Only 187 fix/repair/modify/fiberglass/weld/straighten/wind tunnel/dyno/test days left!
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

Way to go SDRC, Moreland and Noonan!

We were about 8 cars back on Saturday when the 372 Car had a violent spin went airborne at the finish line and took out the right side of the course. Someone described it as a "spin and sway meet" - "car parts all over the place. Driver OK but car had suspension and wheel damage. This is second hand info.

The line steward warned all the drives to stay to the left, or left center. I was the next car to run when the Sundowner Corvette spun on the left side. After it was cleared, Jim Jensen came up to cinch the belts and said that now the right side was better than the left. Well that left only the center that had been hard on all day. Well so much for having a high starting#. Hit a soft spot about 2/3rd's down and had to lift.

How can you have so much FUN and FRUSTRATION all at the same time?  That's El Mirage!

Hey Summer, it was nice talking to you again!
