What exactly IS the 'White Goose Bar'????

I have heard it mentioned, seen their site, seen their vehicles but curious if is it an actual bar, goose or other???

Stupid, but just wondering......

Dan,
Thanks for the introduction to the WGB.  This team leaves nothing to chance.  The bar is simply perfect for the location.  In the future, a cigar lounge would be nice.

i made 3 trips to your pit (sweating) before someone got their "geese" in a row and could sell me a t-shirt. if i woulda known there was a bar nearby , i woulda just "waited" around for the t-shirt salesman . hows your bourbon selection ?

Pork Pie, I'm sure your translator really meant to say non alcohol drinkers...   although some may argue that they must be alcoholics since they go to meetings.... fast guys seem to always be welcome

Stainless....as I remember right I wrote before, that everything out of my mind is coming from ONE SINGLE BRAIN CELL.....this poor cell has also to do the job as translator....and if you write a note during your work lunch....the humor stand not too far away.....and...yes...I shorten this a little bit too much......

advantage of the single brain cell....no discussions....

and fast guys getting also a soft drink if they show up....it can only happened that you will have a hard time to get a place in the bar....nearly no seats and also the place for standing is limit....but it is always great fun and talking speed..... :-D

Grumm, you're right about pit closing time being 8PM.  This year when Nancy and I did our duty -- one pit that we had to clear ('cause it was a tad after 8) was the WGB pit.  Seeing as how a large number of the constituents are high up in the rankings of the SCTA as well as racers - well, I kinda expected they'd be very aware of the rule and they'd leave promptly, maybe even early.  Don't get me wrong - - they weren't rude or hard to evict, at all, at all.  But they were still there when we were done with our first trip through the pits, and they were just packing it in for the day when we made our second round.  They did shout out "We're leaving" or something similar - so we let them go.  The penalty for staying later than the pit Nazis (as the curfew enforcers have been called) is no racing for whatever car/bike is pitted in the pit of the guilty folks.  I wonder how that would have gone over .

I can think of a couple of things. No radios, no fresh charged batteries for the comm that would be down, no results, and ... oh yeah - no impound.

There is much going over there than just bench racing,
