"Got'Cha" was first run in 1974. Bill Temple entered both 2 clubs in 1976 with records in AA/BGR. At El Mirage 201.79 and Bonneville at 220.
In 1977 Greg Temple started driving "Got'Cha" and entered the El Mirage Dirty 2 club in 1979 @ 201.97. Greg went on to set two records at Bonneville, one in 1981 at 241.848, then in 1991 he set another record at 262.230
Bill and Greg were the first father and son to enter the El Mirage Dirty 2 club. They broke the D/BFR at Bonneville in 1981 @ 241 with top speed of 249. This record still stands today. In 1991 they set the A/BFR @ 262 which was later broke by Duane McKinney.

We are getting closer with the headers, tomorrow we will be finnished tacking all the pipes except the tips. We will be bringing the front end down to the shop so we can get the final fit of the end pieces. We should be completely done with the headers sometime next week.

We picked up some stainless straps for the headers, supplied the shop with a new tank, solar flux and after a little searching found some methanol to mix with the flux.

Still lots of welding to do. We finished the passenger side header yesterday and will start welding the second header today. Some photos ofcourse. Welding the tube to the flange. Welding the bungs for the EGT's We didn't have much room on top of the pipes for EGT's, so they are underneath. The top view of the headers. It took us forever to get the bends where we wanted them, but we finally finished one and are done shaping the other. Final welding in 100+ heat is no fun either.

Thanks Freud, sometimes I wonder if I'm posting too much info and people will start getting bored with the thread.
