Sure the GPS goes back to the first satellite launched in 1978, or even back to Transit, the first satellite navigation system in 1960.
The rich, elite, technologically savvy have had the technology available for some time.
But when you cross over the price-performance curve and anybody can buy a GPS for under a $100 that takes no real skill to use and has the features I listed above, THAT'S a revolution.
