Scott Owen's transmission, special billet quick change with 2:1 ring and pinion.

You are correct.  We run the same one, although it took scotty 2 years to build us an overdrive. :-o  What happened to Fred on Sunday?

In case you don't know Fast Fred, Fred Dannenfelzer took his B/BFL lakester to 290.141 at El Mirage in May. He was on a similar pass Sunday when it broke.

290 mph, on the dirt, in 1.3 miles . . . Spectacular.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

I know Fred pretty good.  Grew up in the same town, my dad used to race dirt bikes with him and we helped him on his FMR before we built our car.  I haven't seen Fred in a few years though, we haven't raced our car since Bonneville 03.  We plan on making it this year, lots to do still.

Sounds like one of the Langlo boys? Are you still running the KB with the belt driven superchargers? I think we are fellow club members.

Yep, just found this site today.  I've been missing a lot of good things on this site.  We are still using the same type of blowers, except we are waiting for a new single blower.  If the price is right and we get it soon enough we will go to a single blower.  Smaller KB, new intercooler and overdrive unit.  A lot to do still, we should still make Bonneville.  Still need to find a room. Great site, will be addicted to it soon.  Troy
