Hi Deb
I have a pair of scars just the same (one each side)
Did I see a broken or cracked rib in the x ray? I couldn't lay flat for 4 weeks after my 06 crash with 3 broken ribs.
The brake looks similar to mine and fixed the same way and is now as good as new. I'm sure everything will be OK and you will be riding soon.

My scar is vertical right down the middle and no I ain't sending a picture, Deb glad to see you are doing well. Chat line tomorrow night. I should be back from Las Vegas by then.
Say Hi to Todd.
Glen

Don't sweat it Glen, I get to see that scar any time I want, just not yours! ;) I'm sharing mine since I had such a devil of a time trying to find a pic before they cut me. I think my count is up to 5 people now that I've found to have had this surgery. Personally, despite the scar, I'm a fan of it. It feels much better & more stable then when it was just all loose in there!

Thanks for the reminder on chat! Now that I'm back on a "normal" schedule I'll try to remember to get in there & keep you boys in line!  :-D

Twice! Yikes! What did you do? Did you do both at once or one at a time? So far all the others I've talked to have been dirt bike wrecks.

Nope, no problems with the ribs! You must be seeing a shadow. I had a bruised rib once a long time ago and it was FAR more painful then what I had with the
collarbone. I have major empathy for you for 3 broken ribs, ouchie! I've actually had very little pain. Probably only pumped the pain meds for about
4 days throughout this whole ordeal. Guess I got off pretty easy!

Good to meet you Bones!

I used to race sidecars (roadracing). We got cleaned up by another outfit,Ev and the bike went one way, right side up and I went the other way, wrong side up.That did r/h side.It was fixed with a pin through the center of the bone (a piece of threaded rod)which was taken out when healed. The second time (Lake Gairdner, l/h side) used a similar pin but it had to come out early and then I did too much and broke it and then I had it plated so now it's good as new. So now we have lots of dragracing filling the time between land speed racing

Cleared for takeoff!

Saw the Doc again today & got the all clear to get back on the bike! woohoo!
Rode the bike home from the shop & it felt good! I have to go easy on lifting &
such as the bone still isn't fully healed. He's still not a fan of me racing again
but he gets that I will! I'll see him again a couple days before the Sept Maxton
meet.

Funny thing with riding the bike is that my left thumb hurt & nothing else bothered
me. I stubbed/slammed my thumb in the get off & it's been sore & a little bound
up since. Reachin for the blinker I could really still feel the injury. I've heard it
takes a long time for a thumb to heal so I guess time will tell.

Here's the latest x-ray 5.5 weeks post op.

It's a forever keeper if I want it! They can take the plate back out after the bone is fully healed if it bothers me. The down side to removing it is that the bone is weak for a year while the screw holes heal. The down side of not removing it is if I fall on it again it's more likely that the bone at either end of the plate will break and that's not a real great situation either. At this point I'm hoping the bone will heal quickly before Maxton. I guess I'll just have to take my chances that I won't fall on it again! I'm going to race again but I plan to work on my shut down a bit before really twisting the throttle!

My buddy Walt there tried out a little something new for me last meet so I've already got a little R&D done & just have to try my hand at proper execution. Think I'm going to do a little cornering/twisty practice before the meet too, it can only help! My nutty little buddy Ali said he'll take me out for some cornering practice on the street & I guess I should take him up on it! ;)

Now the without clothes pics, he's ok with me sharing as long as I share with him too!

Deb,
I just read in Super Street Bike mag that Icon is running a monthly contest.  You send in pics of your rashed gear and a little write up and you can win new gear. I think the cut up leathers along with the 212mph story will get you something, maybe a sponsor :-).  Check it out.

Oh kewl. You know I remember seeing that several months ago but at the time I had no rashed gear! :-D I had forgotten about it. I was wearing an Icon back protector vest during the wreck too! It's unharmed & I'll be wearing it again ;) I'm gonna try to pick up the latest mag today when I hit borders for my copy of Harry Potter! Maybe I'll do that & see if I can get a little plug in for the LSR world :D Free gear is always good and being a girl, you can never have too much gear! :-)

I was in London Friday night to see the lines for the book and while I never actually saw the end, it would seem that it started to form up around your house.
How many Witches were in the story ?
I saw several hundred the other night.
Oh. and their is a billboard up around Canada that suggests that Harry Potter is a girl.
What is that all about ?
