I couldn't stand workin for 'THE MAN"   Went in to biz for myself. The best part of being your own boss, is that you only have to work half a day. The hard part is figuring out which 12 hour period that is going to be? Now I'm counting the days. I can hardly wait to make a list with ONLY my stuff on it!

EXIT ON May, 2010. Three more long years,  wish me luck.

The nice thing about being retired ( 5 years now ) is your days are longer and you can change your schedule to make things fit in.  It seems like a long time coming but the rewards are worth it. Just take care of your health and keep busy.  :-D

I made a list when I was in my early teens and I am still working to get it all in.
Some things I even go back to and do again.

I've told friends that it's easy to figure out when to retire. It's when the BS outweighs the benefit.

Everything being equal, you'll know when it's time.

I checked with a Financial Advisor, showed him my IRA, 401K and bank statements  :-o
He said I had plenty of money to retire... as long as I didn't plan to live too long

Rick: When you stop working, it can be a very scary and traumatic experience.  Most people don't realize that it costs money to work. When I quit, I found that my wife and I had more disposable money than when I was working.  Sometime you may find that you are working for nothing.  This is not a good deal.
