Just curious on what FRAME class that electric bike runs? I understand the engine is omega, but frame class does it fit into. Since it got points for club, I assume it was NOT a TIME ONLY.

http://www.killacycle.com/about/

" Including burn-outs, the KillaCycle could make 7 or more runs on one charge (not at max performance.) "
Would definitely have to run at less than full throttle to get the distance, or add extra battery capacity.

The  KillaCycle weighs 619 lbs. and I *think* there is an FIM class for under 660 lbs, I would love to see him attempt it.

Jon,
The assumption I have made that an engine swap is an engine swap, even if it's a motor :)  I have not yet confirmed this, but only want to run a bike to prove out the drive train and some assumptions I'm making, then run a streamliner.  I suspect any record on a bike would be short lived, since streamliner is a valid class for omega engine.

Another electric motorcycle ran at BUB, but have no idea what it did or who it belongs to.

it fit into the omega frame class... if you ever have a question about a frame class, look in the back of the book for a computer code... if there is a computer code you can run it for a class record and points. it was a new bike and a rookie driver so he made a rookie pass then moved into the other lanes to run for points. he ran 60 something on a 100 min so no record but still was able to get starting position points

I think he ran 60 mph I over heard him say some kind of lithium battery was being used in the bike.

Scott

Here is page two of the pics.

Appears to be quite a bit of lead ballast, how fast did this run?  Know any more details on it?

Thanks for all the great photos by the way, I'm definitely going to have to upgrade the camera soon.

Scott,

Great to meet you, the bike was an electric bike and was timed at 61mph on Saturday, I am not aware of any other runs, Michelle and I are not married....yet.

Hey,Kaz,anyone can make a Hayabusa go fast. It's kinda like the small block Chevy of motorcycles, everyone makes speed parts for it.
Spending money fast and furious on mine, too.
Hey,Kent,I was looking over your new website and could not see any mention on LSR stuff.Where can I order up some Charley Toy stuff?
Bonneville 2001,2002,2003,2004,and NO stinking 2005,DLRA 2006, next?
Well, sure can't complain about 2008--6 records over 200 and 5 hats from Bonneville,Bubs, and El Mirage for the team!
