Hello Jason,
I just came back to my room from the race course. There was a 'busa rider who went down because he blew a tire. He was med-evacced by helicopter and that is all I know.

I think it may be because of tire slippage. I saw the tires spinning pretty good as he pulled away in 1rst and 2nd, then he built up speed pretty fast.

My own bike spun the tires in all gears and I was fishtailling across the finish line. I only made one pass today, and that was at 204 mph.  Maybe better tomorrow.

I was looking for you there, then Noonan told me you did not come. Sorry that you were not here! I hope to see you soon.

Here are the pics taken from our trip.

There was a lot of Busa's there I hope whoever the rider was that he/she is ok.

Don,

If your bike was the yellow busa. VERY NICE!!! Do you remember the color of the bike that wrecked and the leather they were wearing. Congrats on the 204 pass.

it was Bill Chambers... he went down at 184 just after the lights. I looked at the bike in his trailer. altho the rim was distroyed the tire showed no damage. the rear disc was purple, i suspect a rear brake was dragging, then boiled the fluid... when ya tap it, it probably locked up and didnt release, but this is only "my" guess.
Bill races a top fuel harley and is a very nice guy, i heard he had a busted hand with bones sticking out then later i heard later no broken bones at all, i hope not, my guess is he is probably pretty beat up.... I do know he was released from the hospital.
