For those who didn't make it - we DID have a safe and fast weekend.  A few spinouts and some broken parts, but nothing serious.  MANY racers ran extraordinarily well, and I think we all had a great time.  The turnout was HUGE - I'm guessing 90 or so cars & bikes, probably about 50% each.  Dave Maty hit 212 & change with his new motor and won the top streetcar jacket.  He also got filmed by North Carolina Public TV for a show called "North Carolina Weekend".  The reporter said he expects it to air just before our next meet.  Unfortunatey, Dave will need a new helmet, as his head is greatly swelled! (Just kidding - actually, he was pretty modest about the whole thing).  I didn't retain who had top car/bike speeds for the meet, but there were 220+ runs here and there.  As always, the volunteers were AWESOME!
