Rent a Ride ?????
« on: February 08, 2007, 04:46:01 PM »
How about that offer on E-Bay, to set World Land Speed Record.
(Cert. by FIA ????)..........just place your bid.  I would think SCTA/BNI should get a percentage of the dollars American Justice Racing takes in......after all SCTA/BNI is providing the venue.   This opens up a great oppurtunity for us to offer sidecar rides....to make some extra dollars   OH,NO....I forgot the no passenger rule is in effect at SCTA/BNI........Hey, how are the volunteers working the BNI event going tofeel about this money making deal?????
interesting.......Right

"Rent A Ride" (sponsorship) is very common in all Motor sports.
If memory serves, the sidecar deal would be an excellent fund raiser to offset some of the costs that cannot be sustained at the BUB meet.
$1,500 cost per entry is a budget that needs some help if it is to last.
The elected SCTA board seems intent on reducing the costs for the events and they have the experience to do it.
Individual costs to prepare an entry are not in their scope.
You should know already that F.I.A. and F.I.M. additional sanctions are available to S.C.T.A. and any other group the B.L.M. has qualified to apply for the use of the salt. also.
All of that information is available here for the looking.

The unmentioned person making that limited quote is not complete or correct.
There is more detailed information that is easier to understand.

Four licensing runs and up to 6 additional runs; and leave on Wednesday!  I wonder if they wait in line for the winner?

Baker,

You been around enough to know, that rent a rides on the salt are not uncommon... Heck Summer's have been doing it for years with their roadster...

Who says any sanctioning body gets a cut... Why would they... They get the entry fee, and Tshirt sales...

Is there a rent-a-record anywhere out there?
