I have been following this story for the past couple of weeks, and it is a sad one indeed. My thoughts and prayers go to his surviving family and friends (it hits especially close to home because me and my wife are in New York winding up her own treatment for lung cancer).
Lung cancer is one of the most UNDERFUNDED of the cancers and kills more people, approximately 160,000 per year, than most cancers combined including breast, ovarian and colon cancer. Lately there has also been an upswing in "never smokers*" like Dana Reeve being diagnosed.
Give a little if you can to support lung cancer research, it's so important...
*those who have smoked less than 100 cigs in their lifetime or never smoked at all.
