Thanks to the LSR forum and the bike network, the Salt Biscuit bike has a new home!
Hi Fellow LSR enthusiast!
The Saltbiscuit (175cc) team has decided to hang up the leathers! It has been a good run, achieving 8 records over 12 years. We are now liquidating our entire holdings, including
- A running record setting bike
- An extra frame
- A spare running engine
- Several engine parts
- Large size leathers
- Current SNELL helmet
- Relatively new tires
- Some tools
- Lot of tuning equipment, and more!
This would make a great bike for a first timer to the salt or it could be a really fun way to kill time while your main bike/car sits in impound.

Q: What records did you set?
A: APS-PG, APS-PF, A-PG, A-PF
Q: What is the make of the engine and frame?
A: The engine is similar to a Lifan (HONDA CG knockoff). The frame started life as a Shanghai Shenke but has been highly modified.
Q: What qualifies it to run as an "A" bike?
A: The frame has been highly modified, including longer swing arm, and lowered front shocks.
Q: What is the current configuration?
A: The bike is set up to run in fuel as it includes a nitrosoxide set up.
Q: Is this a project bike?
A: No, it is ready to run on the salt or El Mirage
Q: Do you think it can still set records?
A: Yes, it has dyno-ed at close to 100MPH and last year it ran in the 80's on the salt but we could never put together two good runs (lots of salt demons plagued us)
Q: How big of a rider will it accommodate?
A: Currently my son rides it and he is 5'9" and is around 190lbs. A lighter rider will probably make it go faster!
Q: What all comes with it?
A: Way too much to list, but there is a second running motor that comes with it, as well as several full size No2 bottles of various sizes, lots of tuning stuff, extra fairing, sprockets, leathers, helmet, and all the other stuff you accumulate after years of racing.
NOTE: We would really like to see this bike continue racing! If you have an interest let's make a deal. We are happy to consult with you about other go-fast ideas, and anything else you might want to know about running and racing this particular bike.
