My better half had a similar situation with an infected foot that wouldn't heal.  They cleaned it out, including scraping the bone. Then place some kind of a antibiotic pack in there and sewed it up. A month later they removed the pack and it healed up amazingly fast.

The nurse asked why i wanted my hat for the pic 

My right wrist/hand have a nasty infection so the sawbones opened it and used some Go-Jo to cleanse it out

Good question and I don't have the answer yet.  I planned to go to SW, for sure, but this infection thing flared up.  I'll probably go home tomorrow or the next day, but I may be put on daily antibiotic IVs.  If I( can learn how to do it myself (Nancy is staying home) I'll drive out there and proceed as planned.  Stay tuned, please.

Slim, some times I am a smart ass, most times a dumb ass. No disrespect was meant by my comment. I truly hope your wrist surgery works out. Health is the most important thing. I do want to say all of us that can't get to B-ville all the time appreciate your live streaming. Thanks for all you do.
