I met Ralph sometime around 2013, after one of my early Bonneville runs, at the AHRMA races at Miller Raceway where he complemented me on my runs on my new APS-PG bike.  He was immediately a friend and one of my mentors in land speed racing.  He will be sadly missed.  Condolences to his family and friends.
