Status of Burkland 411>
« on: January 05, 2020, 12:10:15 PM »
I write a column, "Modeling Matters", for Fast Facts magazine, published by the Speed Record Club of England.  The column is about LSR models.  I'm going to discuss the two models of the Burkland 411 that have been built and want to include some background about the vehicle.  Does anyone know its current whereabouts?  Is it still being run?  Is it in a museum?

Thanks,
Carl Dreher

Carl,

Tom Burkland visits this site. Look him up and send him a private Message.
He can tell you everything you would like to know.

Asking questions is one's only way of getting answers.

The rational person lets verified facts form or modify his opinion.  The ideologue ignores verified facts which don't fit his preconceived opinions.

I have found Tom very helpful on the odd occasion I have asked an intelligent question. But my impression is that he likes to keep a low (Internet) profile. According to his landracing.com profile he was last here about 14 hours ago but has only ever made 9 posts.

My understanding as of 2 or 3 years ago was that he still had the 411 car and intended to run it again if and when there is a good enough course at Bonneville.

I look forward to reading your article Carl, in due course.
