Speed Week trophies
« on: January 03, 2020, 02:44:02 PM »
Just curious if anyone has received their 2019 Speed Week trophies yet.

I "thought" that they generally arrived somewhere around Christmastime.

Very few trophy's to send out from the 2019 Speed Week shouldn't take long to get that completed.  We all learned the gas pedal not only goes down but also up during the run and how much steering our rides had not fun at all.

It's still a bit early to look for your trophy in the mail, however The SCTA seems to take longer and longer to get stuff done these days. It took us two years to get our 2016 record certification ,  Perhaps a "Certificate of Achievement" would be appropriate , stating that you made a run with out spinning, falling over,  and managed to stay between the lines !   :friday

A couple of years ago, we were hoping for an achievement award of some sorts for going 4 miles to the 3-mile marker.

So , I did a count of records set during SW 2019 , If I am not mistaken , 24 records set . Maybe SCTA will just hold the trophies over and give them out in person in August ??? :dhorse:

SO, If we are late with our dues we get hit with a extra fee.   So, If we are late with a vehicle registration we get hit with an extra fee.  BUT if the SCTA drags their ass getting things handled on their end , is there a recourse ??   Kidding of course , we all know the almighty dollar runs the SCTA.
Just getting frustrated over the complete lack of concern on the 2019 Trophy situation , Oh did I mention its now MARCH !!!

I see they finally posted the 2019 Bonneville Records on the SCTA-BNI website.  Hopefully the trophies won't be far behind!

Hi, i wish you were right but when i checked the records page for my record it isn't updated, and i still havent had my trophy, had the dinky brass plaque but that isn't keeping my sponsor very happy, for the costs of my week over the pond.

Amazing but true !!   The Trophy showed up last Friday .  Judging by the return address it was shipped directly from the manufacturer.   :clap :clap
