Cost is free plus box and shipping for the first person who wants one.  Or better yet, make a small donation to Slim instead of paying for the book.

The four books in Post 5412 are going to new owners and Slim has some more money.  Thanks, guys.

The book on engine management by Hartman was the first one I read.  Except for basic theory, and a few other things, it did not apply to motorcycles.  This book does.  It is ISBN-13:  978-0-7603-4073-8 "How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems" by Tracy Martin, copyright date 2011.

Cost is $10 plus book rate shipping.  I have PayPal.

This book is automotive oriented.  It gives some info that will help with bikes.  The unshrouding valves and four valve porting sections gave me some guidance I could not find anywhere else.  Cost is $10 plus book rate shipping.

I will buy the Port flow book if it is still available.

Thanks,

Tom G.

This is ISBN-13  978-1-932494-49-5 "Dyno Testing and Tuning" by Harold Bettes and Bill Hancock, copyright 2008.  There is a lot of good tuning info in this book in addition to the dyno topics.

There were several hundred dyno pulls on the Triumph for tuning and development.  This book helped me to make an overall plan and to figure out the results.  It is a handy reference.  Also, a lot of dyno operators insist on taking shortcuts.  The book gave me the ability to say "This is what I want just like in this book."  It saved a lot of arguing.

Cost is $10 plus book rate shipping.

The dyno book continues to be for sale.

This is ISBN-13 978-1-884089-26-8, "The Step-by-Step Guide to Engine Blueprinting:  Practical Methods for Racing and Rebuilding" by Rick Voegelin, copyright date 2005.  It emphasizes the American V-8.  There was some info I could apply to my bike engine that I could not find in other books, so it was a worthwhile purchase.  Cost is ten samolians plus USPS bookrate shipping.

This is a users manual for a computer program.  The formulae are in the book so hand, rather than automated, calculations can be done.  It is one of the best books around on how engines work.  It "ties together" how many of the different overlapping functions in a motor influence each other.  It is "The Horsepower Chain" by Don Terrill.  Copyright 2016.  Cost is $10 plus book rate shipping.
