Richard Thomason
« on: November 20, 2019, 11:41:31 AM »
Another long time Bonneville racer passes away.  Monday evening Richard Thomason went to be with the lord.  He was at home and his wife came home around 8 pm and found him.  He will be missed by The Danny Boy team and all his family for sure.

Sad news. Condolences to the family, Ed and the entire Danny Boy crew. I have fond memories of Richard, Ed and the Danny Boy crew back in the 80's when we were all running E fuel. RIP my friend.

So sad, Richard was a great friend with a big heart, on and off the salt....

He liked my photowork at the salt and over all this years he support me in such a way that I could be back on the salt, to keep my work ongoing.

Richard, you will be missed....R.I.P......my friend

Well crap...
GodSpeed Richard, you were a good friend and a great supporter of Landspeed Racing.  We all enjoyed the apples you shared and as always the interesting conversation.
Ed, the Thomason family and the Danny Boy Race Team... you have my heartfelt condolences.
This is a sad day for Salt Flat Racing.

Richard was one hell of a good guy. I am sure He will be teaming up with many other Hero's in the Sky.   He was a cousin of Freud, just not as Crazy.  My condolences to His Family and Crew.

Services for Richard are Sunday the 24th of Nov. at 1 pm at the Seventh day Adventist Church in Brewster Washington.  A reception to follow at Lone Point Cellars.  Which is very close to the race car shop on Brewster Flat.  6 Lakeview way.

I always looked forward to seeing and talking to Richard on the salt. He smiled when I told him that one of the high points of a Thailand trip was finding his apples in a large market. The small things in life that bring back great memories. RIP

My oh my it is sad to know of the passing of Richard Thomason. However it is with a lighter heart declaring that I knew him as a friend and respected how he lived his time here on this earth. Richard and the whole crew of the Danny Boy streamliner were a joy to be around. IF you did not know him, you missed someone special. IF you knew him you will miss him as we do. Peace be with you big guy, until we meet again.
Hugs to all,
