In 2003 I was well into my lakester build, but was anxious to get on the salt. I read about the 130 club and decided to take my all wheel drive S10 pickup to WOS. Yes AWD, and ran high 12's at 105 in quarter. I could spray down the pavement along side my shop and stall the converter to 3500 and floor it and NOT spin the tires. I was pitted next to a Chevelle with a big block and the guy proclaimed it would be easy running 130 as he ran 125 in the 1/4. He was ahead of me in line so I watched as he fish tailed and spun the tires down the track to a 115 mph run.Long story short I made two runs with O tire spin, yes O, and averaged 133 and was first truck in 130 club. Only one person came up to me and recognized it was base on an 1982 S10 4x4 PU. He saw me take off from the start line on my second run when my employee was recording my run and I did the stall to 3500 trip and the truck lifted the front bumper about 3 " under acceleration. The engine was a mild 350 hp 355 inch SBC. I have actually owned the very Crown Vic you describe, also Modified my Mustang with the 2 valve 4.6 and I do not believe you'll make the cub. I own the ultimate 130 club car. 2013 Chevy Caprice PPV. 355hp LS# w/6 speed and traction control. Tested to over 170mph by police agency's  and only vehicle most will use to chase motor cycle with. I'm only asking       $ 6800 for mine and it only has 60k on it. I know that is much more then you paid for your crown Vic but if you buy one right you'll get all your money back and maybe more if you show the buyer your 130MPH club certificate. :-D

Racergeo,
I remember talking to you when you did the 130 club in your little truck.
All wheel drive transfercase swapped for the 4-wheel drive transfercase.

Don, thank you for posting and collaborating my story. I sure wish I would have had a better idea of how destructive the salt was as the S10 is destroyed from that little adventure.
