September at Blytheville
« on: September 30, 2019, 10:11:54 PM »
The Sept. meet had better attendance and pretty good weather. It was windy on Friday and it was hot, but no rain. I think everyone was able to make all the passes they wanted, or in my case what the car could handle. Broke the engine on the third pass. The subject of running a mile and a half was presented and several racers, myself included, thought that sounded interesting. We have to wait and see if this develops. I think there is enough room to safely run a 1.5 mile course. Just to add something extra, there is a restored Greyhound bus station in Blytheville and they hosted a gathering of old buses on Saturday evening. 72 buses and lots of curious folks taking it all in, really cool.

     Thanks for the report :clap

Not all of us do "that book thing" and this site is a primary go-to for keeping up with meets that we can't attend.
