Hopefully not going to verbally get my ass kicked for saying this but I saw that box sitting there by itself for many days. We knew it was someone from overseas but did not know who and really didn't care because it wasn't any of our business. Obviously the box sitting there doesn't give anyone the right to go get in it but for the most part it did look abandoned. That was what probably caught the eye of whoever got in it. Stealing is stealing no matter how you look at it and whoever it is, they should be prosecuted and barred from any event on the salt.

Disgusting, and frankly unheard of in my time on the salt. We always lock stuff up, but I've never worried about it before. I hope the rotten bastiges are caught and prosecuted.

Hope they catch the thieving basterds and cut there nuts off. When did land speed louise become a legendary land speed racer. Thats what the hot rod article said.  didn't she get thrown off the salt for being stupid at this years speed week.
The speed that you wish to achieve is only limited by the depth of your wallet.

Battery (as in Assault and Battery, not the 12 volt thingy) is defined as unwanted touching. Supposedly she grabbed and poked Bill Lattin.

Read today's official SCTA post on their web site. As I had suspected from the get-go, the crate was found to be abandoned and moved to the dumpsters by SCTA folks as part of their obligation to the BLM to leave the salt "as found."
Apparently, there was nothing but trash inside the crate. Makes sense to me, as the Italian team also had a large motor home with plenty of storage for valuables.
Go ahead now, cut off hands, nuts and other appendages of our elected SCTA officials and volunteers. Hang 'em high!

Or, just donate to the "Open Eyes Dream" gofundme site.

Sad either way

Sad if it true and people did steal their stuff.

Sad if it is not true  and it was made up or exaggerated.

SCTA has to do what they must to do. A lot of those volunteers have been out there ten days to almost two weeks. I am sure they are ready to wrap the show up and head home.

Crazy year, squishy salt, a crime mystery and legendary land speed racer LL kicked off the salt.

BR.... A legend in her own mind.... never a racer... obviously they didn't know who she was when she asked the question "don't you know who I am?"  Disrespect of officials and rules is the quickest way to get tossed off the salt.

Wouldn't that be classified as sexual assault.    :-o
