Speed Week in France
« on: July 22, 2019, 01:54:33 AM »
The 2019 rules are on the FIM website.  It take some navigation through various website pages to get to the rules.  This event is also listed along with the BMST as an FIM event on one of the FIM website pages.  My ability to read French is limited so I could not decipher very much.  Maybe some of you do not have this limitation.  www.ba217-speed-week.com   It would be interesting to know what they are doing.

I could not get to the event but the UK Timing Association assisted the organisers by putting in the clocks and the timekeeper.

The event sponsored by YACCO and others, was held over a very hot and long weekend, not this time a full week or seven days.

The airfield allowed runs at the standing start quarter mile, two way, to FIM regulations. Five world records will be submitted for ratification. July next year should see a second event. The hope is that the runway total length may become available - 3.25km according to a colleague who measured it.

In September there should be a FIM event in the UK for flying start FIM World records on the 3km runway of Elvington Airfield near York.

Is it just me?

This french site has an immovable band with useless shot/info on the top, 1/2 page, and another immovable band, bottom page, about 1/4 page  with ads..., that make reading what's left on just a 1/4 page...

Useless to scroll/read their info that goes on and on on the same page and in various languages I did not select!!!!...

Typical French crap basically...

I hope their organising skills in/on the field are better than their programming skills...

And I'm French as well, which doesn't help my blood pressure!!!
