Loring in July anyone going?
« on: June 19, 2019, 04:07:08 PM »
The July event is getting closer were planing on testing before Speedweek. Anyone else heading North next month? Great runway to test on a full 1.5 miles for top speed and another full mile to slow things down. Always a good time.

I'll be there, but with just a Bridgestone 350 (that's a motorcycle, not a Chevy V-8!) as my Brit bikes are in Colorado.  There will be some other Brit bikes there competing for the mpg 650 record - - very competitive.

Good week in on the car, next up a water test, get the new front tires mounted, light off, and start playing with the 'tronics again.

If we can continue to make contact with what the life stuff is pitching at us we'll get on base up in the county.

Struck out on getting the car ready for this trip :-(  Just too much left to do, and despite a lot of hrs in on it the last few weeks, too little time left to do it right, load, and make it all worthwhile.  Did get it out in the driveway yesterday, got it underway ~20+ feet (had no desire to try crossing any road traffic) without stalling, and chirping the tires in the process :-D

We're still headed up on family vacation, ETA Wed AM, and will be stopping by to pick brains and steal tech.  Looking forward to seeing everyone again :-)

All the best for safe travels for everyone,

            Ed
