Scooters at Speedweek in pits
« on: June 09, 2019, 09:50:04 PM »
If we have a small Scooter to run around the pits if needed.  Is it a requirement to be registered and have a licensee plate? Dont want to upset the BLM officer.

Utah recognizes many other state's OHV tags, info should be available online. Pedal bikes are good everywhere.

I picked one up at the Maverick Station in Green River... Did not see anywhere in Wendover to get one.  There is a list on the state website.  Most of the places are around Moab... you won't be near there

registration or reciprocal state registration for out of state vehicles.
b.) Operate an OHV without wearing a safety helmet while under the age of 18.
c.) Operate an OHV under the age of 16, or without a valid driver's license from the
state that person currently resides, without direct supervision of an adult (of 18 years
of age or older). Direct supervision includes being within 300 feet of the person
operating the OHV and being able to maintain visual and audio contact with the

So if you are over 18 and fall off your motorcross bike you are not at risk of brain injury (11.b.)

I presume there are statutes about being wrapped in cotton wool (under the age of 18), only being allowed to have your teeth cleaned by a certified dental hygienist etc etc.

Presumably old age pensioners have to register their zimmer frames too.
A Bonneville Lakester please barman.
Certainly sir; a lick of salt, a sip of gas and a twist of Lemming. More Lemming sir?
Just a squeeze.

Not so much, they listed the non-reciprocal states.
I had to read it more than once to catch it.    :|

Pretty much looks like every state is listed! Even those that have no requirements to register the little scooter no matter Utah pretty much requires every state to pay up. More revenue to use for protecting the resources unless its the salt flats go figure.    :-o

Quick easy process to get the permit, and a couple years ago when I sent in for one it arrived in about a week.
