Shirts for 2019
« on: May 21, 2019, 10:35:32 AM »
I'll do it -- I'll bite the bullet and commit to making a batch of shirts for SpeedWeek (etc) 2019.  I'm NOT calling them Salt Talks shirts, though - I can't promise to put on the event this year.

But I do want to have a shirt for the season.  Let's call it this year's Landracing.com commemorative shirt and go with that, hey?  Or call it Salt Talks shirt.  Whatever works.

Here's the deal:  I'll invite you to bid on getting your vehicle's picture on the shirt, and the highest 2 or three or four bids will get displayed.  I'll have a Landracing.com logo in there someplace, too.  I'll "sell" the two shoulder spots, too - your business or team logo can go there, or even a little image of your vehicle.

The shirts are a major source of funds to keep the site up and running and pay Bob the Web Elf and Meridix for the streaming and so on.

You guys up for this?  It's a project that I do in-house so get your butts in gear to get on the shirt, okay?

Thanks.

Well I put my G class competitor on the shirt last year... you've restricted me from naked riders, moon shots and who knows what else.... but as usual I'll bid my $200 for a spot... maybe the 7 moons over the salt will get past the censorship Nazi  .... or several will outbid my number just to keep you from that PITA.

This is a fund raiser... you guys need to step up... or risk .....

Stainless, Hopefully I will relieve SSS from making that decision. So I will bid $201.
to take you off the hook, hopefully.

Unh, bad news, Tom.  I try to get multiple donors on the shirt, so now I've got you AND Stainless.

In the meantime, I wish I could find a pic of the first new car that Mom and Dad ever bought - a 1953 DeSoto.  Just for you, yanno. . .

Love the site, probably could not build my Lakester without it; okay ......... I havent actually built it yet ...........

I will be at SW2019 crewing to learn things (okay, making the tea).

I don't know what the going rate is but I would love to see the Lemming Motors logo on a shoulder of the teeshirt; if however there are better known / established / worthy companies I am happy to simply make a donation.

John
A Bonneville Lakester please barman.
Certainly sir; a lick of salt, a sip of gas and a twist of Lemming. More Lemming sir?
Just a squeeze.

A Squeeze of Lemming it is sir.

Terry, you get a sleeve, and John can have one, too.  Terry has set the rate for you. . .  I suspect three cars/bikes will do for the front.  Let's hear from you, please.  Here's why you really oughta get on the 2019 shirt:

The back of the shirt has had pictures of racers that have great friends of land speed racing - and are dead now so we've honored 'em.  This year's great friend of racing is still alive and kicking - and boyoboy would it be great to have him on the salt with us.  The honoree will be none other than Doctor Glenn Freudenberger.

Pork Pie and Stainless are digging through their files of pics of the good Doc, I'll put it on the back of the shirt and even if he doesn't show up in person - we'll be taking him around the salt with us as we mosey around all week.  Sound good?

Pony up now to support the website and help Freud see everything this SpeedWeek.

THANKS!
