the 2.26 were in Ford 8.5 rears but can be made to work in a 8.8  that is what we are running now in our 8.8
the Caddy 10-12 has 8 7/8 2.28 gears

The GM auto transmissions can be swaped to overdrive trannys. I took out a TH400 and put a TH200r4 from a grand national. Same size as a TH350 and has the th400 crossmember mount position so you just bolt it in and use a TH350 driveshaft.

Thats great Michael. Those 2.13 12bolt Richmond gears could have made the difference of going 304mph and only going 299mph. Im very happy you broke the 300 barrier in a door slamer.

I have a blog creating about the custom Richmond 2.13 gears featuring my used set coming from Al Teague, Betsy Spirit of 76.
and featuring pic of Michael LeFevers 300mph door slammer 92 Trans Am that used custom Richmond 2.13 gears for 12bolt car.

Also featuring that it was John Lingenfelter in the early 90s who Contacted Richmond gear and was 25 sets made. Thanks Michael for your input.

The mag article about the 2.13 is not in the internet so im searching for which performance magazine it was.
Blog has Pics of the 2.13, the gm2.14, 2.28, 2.29,  and ford 2.47

If theres anything suggestions to improve this blog or more featured racers using ahigh gear on their car the gear ratio and pic of ther car, id consider it to go on this blog. Its for educational also people learning how the gears play a part in top speed runs.

I don’t know very much about them, but I think the Kugels have 2 sets, Dave McDonald has 1 set, I have one set and John Raines has 1 set

Don’t know where the rest are.  I heard they were created for the 4 cylinder Olds Aero streamliner
