Old Lindberg 32 Roadster kit has A Roadster version and A Modified Roadster versions.

Are those lakes classed?

You see those letters a lot on 30's and 40's Ford kits.

EDIT Guess I could just compare model box top with pictures in 'History of Hotrodding Book 1' by Tom Medley we bought off Ebay

2 weeks ago.Rather know for sure though.By the way that book is really a scrapbook about SCTA from beginning to about '48.

I was a little surprised by that but it's turning out okay.'Larning' a lot!

Thanks

Here you go.A lakes model kit.

https://www.hobbylinc.com/lindberg-1929-ford-t-custom-rod-pickup-plastic-model-truck-kit-1:25-scale-72179

Before I read History of Hotrodding Book 1 I thought it was a dirt track car.

Just last night reading towards end of book I saw lots of cones.

So this is a lakes car kit.

I'm getting one. This is an old kit.I guess Hobbylinc found a case of them in there warehouse.

They did have them and then they sold out.I would grab one before they run out this time.

"History of Hotrodding Book 1"  Title?  Author?  Explain the lakes car description.   :dhorse:

History of Hot Rodding Book 1 Tom Medley presented by Tex Smith.

Lakes car.California dry lakes.

While I was looking saw picture of Floyd Clymer streamliner.Probably a bike underneath all that.

Now THAT I can relate to.I comprende Floyd Clymer.

Anyhow.SCTA could buy a bunch of these and hand them out as door prizes.

Only 40's and 50's lakes car kit I know of.

I did find out first year of tube frame streamliner.Around '48.Does say right in the book.
