Okay, kids. Pinch me and tell me I'm not dreaming, but I think the stream is working.  You can get there via the front page of the site.

You're welcome to tell me that it's working, but I'm gonna got tell Jimbo in the Speed Demon pit that it's running (he's been helping me).

You can get there via this, too.

:-D   Thank you Slim! I have my 715 hat ready for tomorrow.
 Last year Alex in
The Speed Demon pit gifted my wife and me with hats after George made his fastest pass of the week. It was a fun moment with some great guys.

Sounds good in GA. Will be listening in the morning.

So, has the salt improved enough for a good five mile long course?

SCTA said:  "... There is no lining up before the salt opens it is first come first serve. Racing will begin at 7:30 a.m."

In other words, no lining up in pre-stage.  I heard it said that the penalty for leaving a race vehicle overnight down by the start line - was to hafta go to the end of the line and wait for everyone else or somethin'.  So there's nobody at the line, but - I expect one heck of a Oklahoma Land Rush to get there first.  For instance, there are two cars parked at the fuel truck tonight.  One is Dan Haugh's Saab and the other is under a tarp but sure looks like the Speed Demon to me. Hmm. . . 8-)

Speaking of the Speed Demon, this will give a bit of perspective to getting a coupla thousand HP from 255 cubic inches.  Take a look at the turbo here.  It's dang near big enough to put my thigh through the housing.  And then look -- oh, jeez, there's one on the other side, too, and I bet it ain't no smaller than this one.  Lookit those sons-a-guns!

Here are some pics of Doug Grieve's fuel injection system for the Jaguar as well as a few other tidbits.

Seen in the pits this evening:

Also seen in the pits.

WHO??

Racing starts tomorrow and the stream is easy to start and I'll try to get there to start it for youse kids at home/work/not here.

GOOD NIGHT!
