Slim:

You did a typo!  This year (at least according to the plate on top of it) Speed Demon's engine is 555 - not 255 - cubic inches.  That would jibe with its AA/BFS class markings.

And we all know George likes to be at the head of the line on day 1.

Jeff from Boise - who's looking forward to running tomorrow, too!

Getting ready to leave my house. I'm  110 miles away. I might miss the first hour but not much more than that.

No typo.  The 715 carwas entered with the AA/555 motor, but it's the E/255 that's in the car this morning.  I'll hazard the guess that George and team wants to run a good number first thing - and the big motor is kinda overkill for the might-be-funky race track.

... and as usual he probably has several engines of different sizes packed. According to HRM he also wants to go for the A/BFS record with a 441" engine.

No runs yet but any minute.  I think the stream is live - checks ok here in the trailer.

I  haven't been on the course, of course, but the  access roads were pretty dry.
