The team ran it at Speedweek last year and is currently prepping it in NJ for this year.

Maybe they are putting a roadster body on the back to make it a REMR

As I remember the car misbehaved a tad at WoS and the body got wrinkled (someone else can fill in the details).  The car is back at home after a cross-country adventure and is now being treated with Botox to smooth out the skin.

Let's see -- AA/GL (don't remember if it's blown).  I'll ask Marcia Buck Barker for details - she's on the team.

No plans on making it a roadster. AA/GL, fastest Carbureted Lakester on gas.
I don't think it's been to Wos in a long time if ever. It spun last year at Speedweek and we flipped the trailer on the way home but no real damage to the car.
Bob is reworking the nose and we'll be ready for Speedweek this year.

No, it was just me -- we have both a Roadster and a Lakester in our shop and I'm constantly saying one when I mean the other!

We were at Speed Week this year, but only from Monday - Thursday, and I didn't see it.  I saw the old article from 2011 and thought this car was so interesting I wanted to learn more.  If it was just languishing in some shop, I was curious to see if there was an effort to get it back out on the salt.

Glad to know the car is still active and getting some TLC.  Look forward to seeing it go for a Blue Hat.

Last year I came across a video taken at Speedweek of long coarse runs the lakester is taking to the air front end is way off the ground and turning sideways   :-o  It came back down square to the coarse averting disaster certainly a shorts changing ride for sure on that run.
Working in the shop I use the 'F' word a lot. No not that word these words Focus and Finish go Fast and Flathead Ford!

one of the advantages of Woody and His CFD   my car generates some lift at 300 plus and that is one reason we are fairing the axles so that we can generate down force
