Jerry Branch Rest in Peace...
« on: January 08, 2019, 04:24:13 PM »
Hi,

Just heard that Jerry Branch has passed away aged 94... What a run...

Our team met him in 2013 on the Salt Flats...

He heard a side valve Harley-Davidson KHK was racing there so he came looking for us...

Jerry, rest in peace,

Patrick

Like many here no doubt, I had a set of his heads on my bike at one time. Via con Dios...

Had a long conversation on the phone with him about 30 years ago, very enthusiastic about my questions, related many anecdotes about his experiences.
I still have my 1965 copy of Cycle World with his Gordon Jennings interview on the KR.

R.I.P.Mr.Branch, May you flow with the wind to heaven .

Reading about Jerry's work has a big and positive influence on what I do.  He introduced a lot of us to the concepts of head flow and port shape in the 1970's.

Folks. . . .

I read about the passing of Mr. Branch and saw the photo, but without a caption that identifies the people left to right, those of us who never met him would have no idea which of the people pictured has passed on.

Please try to include this vital info when posting a picture. Even is you don''t know all the names, a simple " Jerry, ?, Joe, Ralph, ?" helps a lot. . .
