Sparky Perry Crew Chief of 7707 Fuel Roadster
« on: December 29, 2018, 11:46:18 AM »
Many of you will not know Sparky Perry. He was my crew chief on 7707 Blown Fuel Rear Engined Roadster. Together with Bill Schultz of the Famous “Over the Hill Gang” they put together an amazing motor that got me the class record at 258.679 this year at Bonneville. No one knows the many hours Sparky and Bill put in to make my dreams come true.

Sparky was I believe 53...no age with lots more years to go. Sparky was taken ill shortly after our return to LA from Bonneville. Sadly Sparky passed away in hospital on December 27th with Loraine his wonderful partner by his side.

I am lost for words of gratitude ...Sparky made my car happen. He had an enormous skill set, a wonderful sense of humour and above all was just such a nice guy. He will be missed so much by the 7707 team and those around him.

It would be nice to make sure his name is remembered and I will do my best to make sure it is.

Thank you Sparky for everything you did my friend.

"Sparky was I believe 53"

Way to young to be leaving us.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

RIP and Godspeed Sparky Perry.

Wow   Loosing some one you have raced with is tough   thoughts and prayers to all especially family

My condolences to the 7707 team.

No, you're never too old to rock 'n' roll
But he was too young to die

My condolences and thoughts are with you all. A member of the team is so often regarded as a member of the family.
RIP Sparky, god speed sir.
