Skip Higginbotham
« on: December 14, 2018, 11:23:29 PM »
I have been told that Skip had a massive stroke over a week ago and passed away  a couple of days ago.   I have not been able to verify any of this for I lost all of my phone numbers a year ago.

May we all remember the Yellow Rose of Texas car - and everything else Skip brought to us.  Condolences to you for your ex-partner, too.  R I P Skip - if he has indeed gone from this vale of tears.

Thanks to whomever sent me the contact info.  Talked to Joyce just now Skip had a massive stroke I think on Tues. before Thanksgiving, on life support for 3 weeks. He was not able to make it on his own.

There will be a Celebration of life on his birthday in April at the winery in Pahrump.

Drove to Pahrump yesterday for Skips celebration of a life  what a fun, informative 2 hours: Joyce, daughter, Joyce's son Robbie who nearly all his life called Skip his dad,  brother Bob family on and on.

Mrs Polson who Skip was the crew chief for their top alcohol drag boat,  on and on---the bottom line he had an extremely varied professional and racing career.

Gary Allen's widow Kathy was there. Gary supplied the front eng. and drove the dual eng AA/GS when I was the rear eng partnerin 2000 . The next year I was the driver and we set records when the hat mins were G 270 and  F 280
