Check the last rule under Gas Coupe rules.

Any thing produced from 1949 to the present and not meeting the criteria of the Classic Category. SHALL compete in the Modified Category.

I run a 1953 Stude in GC

Isn't there some wording about once you run Classic class you can't go back?

So you have a Classic, run it, then deside to add electronic fuel injection and then your stuck in "time only" ....I don't think so.

If you run classic you have to run classic for that year. After that you can go back if you wish. Rule 5C last paragraph.

If you add a non-OEM EFI to a Classic car you would run in the appropriate non classic category, not stuck in "time only".

By golly you appear to be on to an important detail! It is ironic however that the first paragraph and the last one in GC can be read as being in complete disagreement! The fact that you run a '53 in GC seems to close the discussion however! Thanks.
