That's it. You could run with Rocky and Guy in 2022 on the best land speed track in the world. Richard is a great engineer. He went 320+ MPH in 1999 on a rocket powered sit on bike. Like a lot of us he is well past his Best If Used By date and is looking for a younger rider.

this is the rocket powered streamliner Richard used for the 320+ runs at Bonneville, the sit on bike was before and used on airfields in England.
the new racer got a small jet engine installed. both rocket racer are on display in the national motorcycle museum, close to Coventry/Birmingham

this picture shows the Gillette Mach III streamliner.......!!!!

AFAIK the 1999 322mph run was a streamliner (the Gillette Mach 3 Challenger).

But Malcolm UK probably has the full story - he was there, I think.

Yes, of course you are correct, it names the Gillette Mach 3 Challenger in the article. I read sit on bike somewhere and got all excited when I saw that pic.
