Fat Vs Skinny,Brings up, Tire Pressure ??????????????
« on: November 19, 2018, 10:13:14 PM »
So,Id love to know, Anyone running a bike over 150 mph+
What pressure are you using ?
I started on a W rated at 32 #
Then went down looking for a wider patch, Some Agree  , , Some
say It can cause distortion ?
A guy I know said he runs around 40# at all times ?  Really ?

Ran 50 psi on the GSXR 1000 in Production, Modified and Special Construction... fastest run was 210 and change.... Yes bike was heavy... but balanced
I don't think lower pressure gives you better traction... YMMV

Make a couple of passes and carefully check pressure and temp of the tire.  Passes at 32psi (or whatever) and then at 40 and maybe even one higher.  Decide which post-run conditions you like better and I betcha you'll go to a higher initial pressure.

I run at 50-psi with mid-west air.............no problems with battle-axe tires.
