2018 FIM rules on fuel
« on: November 01, 2018, 12:25:58 PM »
Does someone know what fuels are allowed in FIM ???

I thumbed thru the 2018 rules and it looks like only pure gasoline is legal in FIM !

No Methanol, nitromethane, nitrous oxide, or O2 bearing gasoline like VP - Q16 ,,,,,

Is this the case ?????

I'm preparing a Bonneville attemph  and sorta need to know what is what...

Yep they don't differentiate like SCTA & AMA, pretty much anything goes
although i believe they are looking at the current use of NOS in NA classes , but with records already set its going to be a hard one to sort out

OK,,, so nitromethane, methanol, and any VP or ERC race gasoline are good to go for FIM records....

Thanks and this really helps with the decisions to be made...
