I bought some! The sad thing is that I would never have known to look there for those great pics if it had not been posted here. There was no info about this at the event and BMST does not even have info about the photos on their website.

I bought mine. Scooter told me he may have a few more of a rider than those he has posted on Smugmug. I got a second shot from him that I'm really glad he offered. I think it's an amazing effort standing out there from before dawn until dusk for so many days, trying to catch every single rider. The guy deserves a medal.

Speaking of pics, I made the front page of our local fishwrap (photo credit, Jim Laurel)-

I did frame it just this evening. The Sun is owned by Gannett, who also owns USA Today. They did a nice online article with some video too.

https://www.kitsapsun.com/story/news/2018/09/18/land-speed-record-1962-motorocycle-poulsbo-man/1350730002/

I also ended up with coverage by the three Puget Sound news outlets - KING, KOMO and KIRO.

https://www.king5.com/article/news/local/washington-man-breaks-land-speed-record-on-a-1962-motorcycle/281-596028395

This one starts at 19:50-

https://komonews.com/news/newsradio/kitsap-man-sets-a-new-speed-record-as-others-his-age-begin-slowing-down

Some friends shot a couple hours of 4K video over four days of the event and they are putting together a short film about it. And I just agreed to do a documentary with another film maker about next year's run.

I also got in a couple seconds of B roll shots in the new film about Team Turbo Tiger  (8:37 and 8:47)

I have no idea why this all took off like it did. It started with me joking with my wife about calling the local paper to see if they were interested in the story. She did, and next thing I knew I was getting all these emails about radio interviews and videos.

All that said, I am the most excited to see the 20 x 40 canvas print I ordered of one of the shots Scooter took of me, to hang in my office. I may end up splurging on a Lumachrome print of it by my friend Bob Park of Nevada Art Printers. Scooter has done a really nice job of making those Smugmug pics look good on a monitor. If he took a shot of you I highly recommend purchasing a print of the actual high res version (or the high res file), as they are all the more impressive. The quality is top notch.

I have a Scooter shot from 2014 in the large size , Even though,I did put it on the Back Wall of the garage ,As I didnt want to be to Pompus,  Its on super thick Photo Paper And Im telling you, The detail on a photo that large is Unreal, The salt dripping off my front lower fairing , The this layer of salt on my boots ,Man Its so worth the $$
And theres this, When I told my Wife im thinking bout gettin a large poster done of my Bonneville print, But its a couple hundred, She
said, And when in life do you have a chance to buy a Poster of You ???
True !
I also did a smaller one on Metal, Man that is a fine look also !
Do it, Its Payback for Scooter out there 12 hours a day !

Well said Don.
And wow does Scooter put the hours in. The hours actually on the salt are only a part of it. There is not doubt, his work is stunning.

FWIW, I’m very impressed with his photos.  As a potential future participant, the research value alone is fantastic.👍
